Bird watchers will spend the morning hours scouring the Forest Beach Migratory Preserve's varied habitats, including the Lake Michigan shoreline, trying to identify as many bird species as possible. They'll also count birds at Lion's Den Gorge Nature Preserve in Grafton and Coal Dock Park in downtown Port Washington. A bird scavenger hunt and bench dedication by the Milwaukee Audubon Society will also take place that morning at Lion's Den Gorge. The Forest Beach Migratory Preserve is located at 4970 Country Club Road in Belgium, Wisconsin. Operated as the Port Washington Country Club and Squires Golf Course for over 75 years, the site now serves as stopover habitat for migrating birds as well as open space for human enjoyment. An opening reception for Concordia University Wisconsin's newest art show, How We See the World: Senior Art Show 2015, will take place on Friday, April 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the CUW Art Gallery on campus. The show will feature the art work of 13 students and include graphic design, photography, painting, sculptures, and other pieces. "We came up with the theme as part of a class that revolves around the upcoming show," says Lindsey Weber, a graduating senior at CUW. "Everyone involved in the show has a different perspective and comes from a different background with respect to the art they create and how others view it."
