The Jazz Band, University Band, Symphonic Wind, and String Ensembles will combine performances for an evening of "American Fold Songs and Dances." The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Christ Triumphant and tickets are $8 which will be available at the door. The performance will be part of the University's Homecoming celebration. "The evening will take the listener from the Civil War, to the jazz era, all the way to the present day with pieces like West Side Story, Music from Frozen, Music from the 80's, and Music from Jersey Boys," said Dr. Menchaca. The evening will be filled with compositions that include arrangements of medleys by legendary American composers Duke Ellington, Leonard Bernstein, Clare Grundman, Aaron Copland, and others.
