Meet men who speak the languages of Europe but wear an American uniform to fight for their adopted country. Laugh with women planning an Irish wake and feel for the soldier who bears the scars of battle. Cedarburg, far from a backwater, delivers a world view of the years 1860 to 1940 through the eyes of the ghosts who lived them.The 90-minute docent-led walking tours begin and end at the Cedarburg Cultural Center with stops at mysterious sites in downtown Cedarburg's National Historic District and the Zur Ruhe Cemetery. Doors open 30 minutes before tour time. Tours begin at 6:30 Oct. 19, 7 p.m. Oct. 24 and Oct. 25. Ticket reservations are $13 in advance (strongly recommended for this historically sold-out event) and $15 on tour day (if available).
