Meadowmere sets event to benefit Wounded Warrior Project WEST ALLIS – Meadowmere will host a baseball theme event that will support with The Wounded Warrior Project from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Guests who visit Meadowmere from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. will get to meet the Milwaukee Brewers Famous Racing Sausages and anyone who stops by from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. can meet Bernie Brewer. All are invited to visit and have a ballpark lunch for $5, with all monies col- lected being donated to The Wounded Warrior Project. Guests can register to win gift certifi- cates to a Milwaukee Brewer home game and the opportunity to slide down Bernie Brewer's slide. "We are excited and privileged to be working with two great organizations," Meadowmere Executive Director Cori Parker said. "It is so important that we support our soldiers and their families. And we are all ready for spring and some Baseball." Tours of Meadowmere/Mitchell Manor will be available for anyone who it is inter- ested. Peter and Paul National Polish Catholic Church will serve a roast pork loin dinner from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. March 22. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for chil- dren under 5. Christ Church UCC presents annual Chinese dinner March 22 MILWAUKEE – Christ Church UCC will hold a the fourth annual Chinese dinner March 22. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the meal will be served at 6 p.m. It will include appetizers, a sit-down dinner and Chinese cookies. The meal will be prepared by pro- fessional chef Peter Kwong.
