Brian Klutch: The stunning jewelry in our A-List and "Glisten Up" features, as well as the opening photo in our story on Graff Diamonds, was shot by New York–based still-life photographer Brian Klutch. "Prior to shooting, we had decided on a Las Vegas concept, with vibrant colors and bright lights. Shooting jewelry can be challenging, but this time it was the background that was most complicated. We used various strings of lights against brushed stainless steel and really played with the focus to create a whimsical feel." Passionate about showcasing the true beauty of an object in its surroundings, Klutch has won awards from Grafis, Communication Arts, Applied Arts, American Ad Review, and Photo District News. 2. JoAnna Haugen: Las Vegas–based writer JoAnna Haugen is a returned Peace Corps volunteer and globe-trotter with work published in nearly 50 publications, including Vegas and Travel Weekly, for which she is a contributing editor. Her Back Story article on the Wynn atriums is her first for Wynn magazine. Although she adores the chaos and quirkiness of Las Vegas, Haugen sometimes seeks out opportunities to step back from all the hype. "The Wynn atrium," she says, "is the kind of place that forces guests— and locals—to slow down and appreciate a stolen moment of serenity." 3. Bonnie Holland: This issue's fashion spread, shot at Encore Beach Club, was photographed by Bonnie Holland. "Wynn is the ultimate," Holland says. "From the people who truly seem happy to be there for you, to the flower arrangements that change daily, to the in-room lotions that smell incredible, Wynn has executed the perfect luxury experience. The pools are gorgeous—it was a perfect backdrop for a truly wonderful day of shooting.
