The 2019 Red Bluff Round- Up will be held April 19-20-21 at the Tehama District Fairgrounds, and it grabs the attention of local residents, Northern Californians, and people from around the world. The rodeo is held at 7 p.m. on Friday April 19, at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 and at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday April 21. Eleven Days of Round-Up will run Thursday, April 11 through April 21. One of the most unique events in pro rodeo takes place during the last performance of the Round-Up. The Wild Ride, always held during the Sunday performance, features cowboys dressed up as characters and riding a saddle bronc horse, to the delight of the crowd. In the past, cowboys dressed like the Statue of Liberty, Flo from the Progressive insurance commercials, Lady Gaga, Kid Rock, and Ninja Turtles have been at the Round-Up. Cowboys "ham" it up during their wild ride, spraying silly string on each other and putting talcum powder on their chaps and costumes so the dust billows out as they ride! Pageantry is a large part of the Round-Up. The grand entry, complete with six- or eight-horse hitches, ride by the fans, as well as a variety of rodeo queens and dignitaries. And when the American flag is presented, it's parachuted in by a sky diver from 3,000 feet above the arena. With 40,000 fans in attendance, the Round-Up has a tremendous economic impact on Red Bluff, Tehama County, and the area. It has also made a philanthropic impact in a
