He'll be seeking just that when the FedEx St. Jude Classic gets underway at the TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee Thursday, June 7 on GOLF Channel. Coverage continues on GOLF Friday through Sunday, with CBS also providing coverage Saturday and Sunday. This will be the last year that the FedEx St. Jude Classic will be played in June. Next year it will become one of the World Golf Championships and will move to August, replacing the current WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Woods' 79 PGA Tour wins are only three behind those of Sam Snead, who owns the record at 82. Woods, who has never won this tournament, is bouncing back from four back surgeries dating back to 2014. He was basically born into golfing and at age 2 was featured putting with Bob Hope on the Mike Douglas Show. Soon, he was playing entire rounds of golf, and by age 11 could beat his father on the golf course. By the time he was a teenager, his stock was rising. Once on the PGA Tour, the winning began, including 14 majors. Woods was young and in excellent shape, inspiring such traits in many of today's top players. After yet another round of surgery in early 2017, he was back on the golf course in November with President Donald Trump, and back on the PGA Tour early this year.
