It's hard to believe that we are almost through the first half of this year. Time is chugging along! When June arrives so does Pride season! It is a time for all queer folks and those allied with our community to celebrate the diver- sity of our humanity. is year, it is very important that we rise up and celebrate who we are, given the current toxic environment in this country for LGBTQ+ folks. Our current government is not our friend. I am not sure it is re- ally anyone's friend except that of the white elite. Diversity is a dirty word in this current administra- tion and that is very sad. Please consider attending a pride celebration in your area. ere is a listing of pride celebrations and festivals on page 7 of this issue. Check it out and celebrate Pride! is month's feature is Raph Solo. Raph's story is an empowering one. In Raph's interview he tells us about his journey of self-discovery. Raph chronicles his journey toward self-love in his new album entitled, "Word of Love." e first release off the album is called, "Word of Love." Check out Raph's interview and I hope you find inspiration in is story to help you on your path to empowering your individuality and finding your self-worth. Re- member, self-love is the most im- portant thing we can have. If we do not love ourselves, we cannot possibly express and give love to someone else. ere is another wonderful feature of empowerment and overcoming struggles. Check out Ron Blake's story on page 3. I hope you have a wonderful pride month, and never feel ashamed of who you are. ALWAYS BE PROUD! Diversity Rules Magazine PO Box 72 Oneonta, NY 13820 James R.
