A swarm of neon yellow-clad attendants shepherded cars through neat rows of orange traf- fic cones in the thousand-spot parking lot. From a stage closer to the store, the opening chords of a live cover of "You Give Love a Bad Name" issued from a column of speakers flanked by festive bal- loon arches. But the real sight was the cus- tomers: hundreds of them, packed into a maze of retractable stan- chions that were beginning to spill out around the side of the building.
