Besides the Demo Derby, Lucas Oil Truck and Tractor Pull, and Motocross, this year's Gibson County Fair will bring back rodeo and expand the music acts. "We have an exciting concert lined up this year with not one, but two concerts with two up-and-coming Country Music acts, Ashley McBryde and the duo Walker McGuire," said Gibson County Fair Board President Charles Woodruff. "I'm also excited that for the first time in over 25 years, we will be hosting a Championship Rodeo at the fair." The fair also added ground acts, and three acts a night by One Man Band. Sunday and Monday, the fair fea- tures a Bear Hollow Chainsaw Carving Exhibition. Another feature is that 1940's and 1950's era concessions have been replaced this year to make them ADA compliant. The annual whirlwind of animals, food and fun kicks off Sunday, July 8 and runs through Saturday, July 14 at the Gibson County Fairgrounds. Highlights include: truck and trac- tor pulls, drag racing, mud volleyball, motocross, pageants, hog wrestling, live music, and, of course, great food and rides every night. Friday, July 14 at 8 p.m. is the fair's biggest event, the Toyota concert featur- ing William Michael Morgan, perhaps best known for his songs "I Met a Girl," "Missing," and "I Know Who He Is." Admission to the grounds is $7 daily, and all grandstand events are free. A full list can be found online at www. gibsoncountyfair.com. GIBSON COUNTY 4-H Fairgoers are also encouraged to tour the 4-H Building and check out the work completed by the county's youth, who are students in grades 3 through 12.
