FOR THE Wedding, Anniversary or Engagement Announcement Allegations include home invasion on South Side By BRIAN HUBER Conley News Service WAUKESHA — Three men were indict- ed in federal court for armed robberies in Milwaukee, Jackson and Hartford in recent weeks, U.S. Attorney Matthew Krueger announced May 2. Justin Gillis, 30, Amedee Mathew O'Gorman, 28, and Andrew Pein, 31, of Watertown and Reeseville, each have been charged with Hobbs Act robbery and bran- dishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence after a home invasion armed robbery on South 15th Place in Milwaukee on Feb. 27. The purpose of the robbery was to obtain drugs and drug proceeds, accord- ing to the announcement. Gillis is also charged with robbing a Kwik Trip in Germantown on March 3 and attempting to rob the Village Mart in Jackson and the Petro Mart in Hartford on March 5, Krueger's office said. If convicted, each man faces up to 20 years in prison on the robbery counts and a minimum mandatory sentence of seven years, and up to life in prison for brandish- ing a firearm during a crime of violence. This case is being investigated and pros- ecuted under the Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative, aimed at bring- ing together all levels of law enforcement and community resources to reduce violent crime and improve the quality of life in all our neighborhoods. This matter is being investigated by the FBI's Milwaukee Area Violent Crimes Task Force, the Milwaukee Police Department, the Watertown Police Department, the Germantown Police Department, the Jackson Police Department, the Hartford Police Department, the Oconomowoc Police Department, the Jefferson MDEG Unit, the Milwaukee County District Attorney Investigator's Office, the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, the Washington County District Attorney's Office, and the Wisconsin State Probation Department — Jefferson County. Krueger said an indictment is merely a charge and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. 3 indicted in regional armed robberies Volume 24, issue number 19 The Milwaukee Post (ISSN 1544-1776) is published weekly by Conley Media, Milwaukee County 3397 South Howell Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53207 For all departments call: 414-744-6370 News display and advertising FAX: 414-375-7070 Classifieds: 800-762-6219 ext. 5005 Classified Fax: 262-334-6252 For display advertising inquires: 414-744-6370 Barry Richards: Advertising Representative — ext. 13 brichards@conleynet.com Julia LeGath: Advertising Representative — ext. 17 jlegath@conleynet.com Jim Baumgart Advertising Sales Director — 262-513-2621 jbaumgart@conleynet.com For editorial questions: Dan Muckelbauer Editor 262-513-2626 dmuck@conleynet.com POSTMASTER: Send address changes to the Milwaukee Post 3397 S.
