Among them is UCLA's pro-style quarterback Josh Rosen, perhaps the most athletic of the bunch. The first round of the 2018 NFL Draft airs Thursday, April 26 on ESPN and The NFL Network. The remaining rounds are to follow Friday and Saturday. The UCLA Bruins knew right away what they had in Rosen, who was a USA All-American out of high school and a top-ranked college recruit. After committing to UCLA he enrolled early in 2015 and was there for spring practice that year, which made a big difference in Rosen being named the opening-day starter that season; the first time the team had ever started the season with a true freshman under center. Although he put up respectable numbers his freshman year, and earned several accolades, Rosen remained under the national radar. The Bruins failed to put a respectable team around him and he also suffered a season- ending injury midway through the 2016 season. This, along with last seasons concussions, have draft analysts questioning his toughness. Rosen exploded in 2017, becoming the first Bruins quarterback to throw for 2,000 yards in five games, including the season-opener, when he threw for 491 yards, erasing a 34-point deficit and beating Texas A&M 45-44. Opting out of his senior season and headed for the NFL Draft, Rosen is sure to hear his name called early in the first round on Thursday night.
