TICKETS FOR 2013 WOMEN TOGETHER ON SALE NOW EVENT WILL FEATURE HUMORIST JEANNE ROBERTSON Tickets for the 2013 Women Together, presented by Rutherford Regional Health Foundation, are on sale now. This year's event has two components and will again include a performance by a nationally-known artist. Headlining this year's event is humorist Jeanne Robertson. Robertson, a former Miss North Carolina, will take the stage at Isothermal's Performing Arts Center Saturday, Feb. 2, at 3 p.m. Robertson specializes in humor based on life experiences and speaks two languages fluently – English and Southern. Tickets for Robertson's performance are $29 and $34, and are available by calling Isothermal's box office at 828-286-9990 or online at foundationshows.org. Rutherford Internal Medicine Associates is a major sponsor of Robertson's performance. Women Together also includes special art exhibits presented by Lilly Oncology on Canvas and Statesville Stained Glass. The exhibits, also held at Isothermal's Performing Arts Center, will be open to the public Friday, Feb. 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. No tickets are needed to view the art exhibit. Lilly Oncology is sponsoring the art exhibit and providing a keynote speaker for medical professionals about the increasing incidence of cancer survivorship. Women Together is Rutherford Regional Health Foundation's annual event to provide financial support for w o m e n 's programs offered through the Rutherford Regional Cancer Resource Center. Proceeds from the 2013 show will be used to pay for mammograms for uninsured women in the area and to sustain the Cancer Patient Navigator program, which provides women with personalized support from a nursing professional beginning at the cancer diagnosis through recovery. "We are so pleased to present a nationallyknown humorist like Jeanne Robertson," said Jill Miracle, executive director of Rutherford Regional Health Foundation. "She is the perfect fit for our annual theme of 'Living, Loving and Laughing.' Our guests will leave the show with smiles on their faces and the knowledge that they have helped provide care for women who need care during a pivotal point in their lives." For more information on this year's event, contact Rutherford Regional Health Foundation at 828-286-5070. Hamrick Auto Sales. 704-472-1429. Biblical answer: In Matthew 16:18, Jesus proclaims that, " I will build My church…" The Greek reads "tnv ekklesiav," which translates as "the assembly of mine." Notice that the words are in the future tense, "will build", and that "ekklesiav" is in the singular form, not in the plural. "Ekklesiav" is a reference to the "assembly of the called out." These who are called out, these who assemble themselves, are called out from sin. They constitute the one church of the Lord, His church, singular in number. Every member of the Lord's church in the first century was a member of the same church, the one church built by Christ. As for the time of the church's establishment, we can find that this had already taken place by the time of Acts 2:47, "…And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved." The Lord's church was therefore established on the first Pentecost following Jesus' death and resurrection. We invite all to study and worship with us at the: aid Advertisement Empty Shoe Boxes Needed The Food Pantry in Forest City is collecting "EMPTY" but in good condition shoe boxes that will be used for the back pack program for Christmas.
