PES started a basketball league a few years ago to provide an opportu- nity for students to play intramural sports and to engage the commu- nity with the school. All students are eligible to play without having to try out for a team - they simply register and teams are created based on age level and number of students registered. This year, PES had eleven teams that played every Mon- day evening through the season, which lasted from January to ear- ly March. Sponsors for this year's league were Fountain Electric, Green Hill Store, American Legion Post 74 and American Legion Post 74 Bingo, Caldwell Construction, D&M Logging, McSwain Storage, and Edward Jones / Jason Harrill.
