You could call it the ultimate Christmas present, and you'd be hard-pressed to find families that are more deserving than the four that will be getting a gift way too big to fit under any Christmas tree. In the Thanksgiving-themed episode that kicks off the holi- day fun on Nov. 26, actress and activist Jenny McCarthy joins the team as it pays a visit to the Watson family of Knoxville, Tenn. It's a family that's given a lot of people something to be thankful for: a safe, welcoming home. The family runs "The Restoration House," a home for single mothers in need. Along with witnessing the birth of a gorgeous new home in which the Watsons will be able to enjoy their Thanksgiving turkey, the cameras will also be paying a visit to the set of "Wipeout," ABC's hit reality game show. The Christmas joy gets under- way the following Monday, Dec. 3. when host Ty Pennington leads the cameras to Smithville, Texas. There he meets volunteer firefighter Mizzy Zdroj and her family who, in a tragic twist of fate, lost their home in Texas' biggest wildfire in its history. Luckily for them, Christmas will be coming early with a magnifi- cent new home to call their own. Not only that, but they'll also get to meet famous chef Art Smith, BMX biker Matt Hoffman and even some special Star Wars guests. Oliver Softs 750 ml. $5.99 Yellowtail $5.99 Barefoot Pink Moscato $5.49 3 Convenient locations for all your party needs! But Christmas is too big of a holiday to be contained in just a single episode — or a single home. The following two Monday evenings, keep the Christmas cheer flowing as the "Makeover" team pays a visit to a family in North Carolina before heading back to the Lone Star state. In Lincolnton, N.C., on Dec. 10, Pennington has an extra special treat for the Friday fami- ly. If there's one thing that the Fridays' home isn't lacking, it's the warmth and cheer of the season. More than 30 children have found a loving family as they've been fostered through the years by the Fridays, and a full family of five siblings has found a permanent home with them through adoption. A furry green helper will be showing up to help out with the holiday spirit, too. Reformed enemy of Christmas, the Grinch, will be making the long trip from Whoville so that he can help out with the build in Lincolnton. The last stop for the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" crew on this journey of generosity is at the home of the Harris family in Smithville, Texas. Shilo Harris, a veteran, was wounded while on patrol in Iraq, and ever since has been fighting for other wounded vet- erans, helping to provide them with emotional support and working to help find them civil- ian jobs. Edition" began back in 2003 as a 13 episode spinoff of "Extreme Makeover: Home Ty Pennington returns to host "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" "Extreme Makeover." It soon eclipsed its mother show's pop- ularity, and over its nine-season run amassed a loyal viewership, armfuls of award nominations and two Primetime Emmy Awards (both for Outstanding Reality Program, in 2005 and 2006). Throughout the show's lengthy run, in which its team ebbed and flowed as designers, landscapers and other good- hearted souls came and went, two things remained constant: host Ty Pennington's constant smile and the inspiring stories behind every family. Although "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" aired its last regular episode in January, ABC promised that it wasn't dead but would return with frequent specials. True to its word, it has brought fans of this feel-good show an early Christmas present. That means for our customers GREATER SELECTION!!
