Bio: Melanie Muñoz is a huge
proponent of changing the way
that corporations, governments,
and other organizations do bu-
siness by being more inclusive.
She is a Diversity and Inclusion
Consultant at The Kaleidoscope
Group, a Chicago-based firm,
where she specializes in client
partnerships.
Previously, Muñoz worked as
a consultant for a large, execu-
tive recruitment firm in down-
town Chicago. She oversaw mid-
level/executive recruitment for
supply-chain professionals in
the consumer products industry
across the Midwest.
She serves as the vice pre-
sident of corporate relations
for Prospanica Chicago (for-
merly National Society of His-
panic MBAs) and sits on the
Hispanic Alliance for Career
Enhancement's Young Professio-
nals Board. She is the director of
events for Tomorrow's Truth, a
Chicago-based think tank for mi-
llennials. Muñoz is also a recent
graduate of the Mujeres de HACE
program, a women's program
that helps high-potential Latina
professionals to succeed profes-
sionally through development,
mentorship and coaching.
Muñoz is a proud graduate
of The University of Toledo in
Ohio, where she received her
bachelor's degree in communi-
cations with a minor in business.
There, she was president of the
Latino Student Union and was
awarded Multicultural Student
Leader of the Year. Currently,
she is a full-time graduate stu-
dent in the Diversity Leadership
Master's Program at Cleveland
State University. (Yes, she com-
mutes between Chicago and
Cleveland monthly!)
Muñoz enjoys traveling,
Netflix-binging and being a lea-
der in her church community at
People Church Chicago.
