for 13 years. Through her team,
she is responsible for overseeing
the business banking portfolio,
managing credit offerings and
ensuring a superior customer
experience.
Pillars participates in a num-
ber of JPMorgan Chase em-
ployee resource groups. She
co-chairs Adelante, a group
dedicated to the retention and
development of Latino profes-
sionals. She is the the chair eme-
ritus of the Women's Interactive
Network. And she is a mentor for
The Fellowship Initiative, an in-
tensive academic and leadership
program that focuses on helping
young men of color complete
their high school education and
gain admission to top-rated uni-
versities.
Within her community, Pi-
llars serves on the Board of Di-
rectors of Instituto del Progreso
Latino, an organization whose
mission is to contribute to the
fullest development of Latino
immigrants and their families
through education, training and
employment that fosters full
participation in the changing
U.S. society while preserving
cultural identity and dignity.
Born and raised in Chicago,
Pillars received her bachelor's
degree in political science from
Loyola University Chicago. She
lives in Elmhurst with her hus-
band, James, and loving dog,
Ripley.
