nother year in the books
means another year to
celebrate the great things
about Santa Cruz County!
We asked for you to vote, and you did!
Twice as many of you logged on and
voted vs the year before! One of the
daily duties I had to perform during
the voting process was review the
write in's. Lots of great answers. All
clever. Not all fit for print.
Last year in this space, I solicited
your ideas on new categories
to add. I received some great
responses, and in fact this year, we
did add quite a few. Just remember,
I can only add them though if they
have mass appeal. Best knitter on a
Tuesday in Corrralitos doesn't bode
well.
Based on those ideas, we added
several new pet related categories
for 2017, and the response was
positive. We love our furry friends
here on the central coast, and many
of us treat them like family!
So what about next year? Lots
of new hotels are going up so I
anticipate a lot of new places to eat
and drink surrounding them; Poke?
Food trucks?
Plus we'll be adding dispensary
outlets next year as well as they are
an integral part of our community
now.
Once again, I hope you enjoy this
section as much as we do, and thank
you to all who voted.

in 2018 if you haven't already and we
look forward to hearing from you in
