Email: schoolnews@pressdispatch.net DO YOU HAVE Mrs. Hartke's second grade class had fun with their kindergarten read- ing buddies at the Otwell public library during their weekly visit. Pictured are Avery Lyons and Liam Fleming having fun practic- ing our spelling words! John Michael Mar- cum came to school looking a little "old" for the 100th day of school. Noah Fort, Ethan Wolfe and Michael Woods work together on their chrome books. First grader Braelyn Turner wait- ing to have her jellyfish tentacles at- tached to her art project. Above: Third grade students are having fun with their boomwhackers during music class. They fol- low the sheet music with the different colored whackers. Practicing their song is Magdalen Thompson. Left: Taylen Bailey won the school prize for the School Mall fundraiser. She took home a robot minion. Above: The Science Bowl team competed online as a team and as individuals placing 17th in the state. Individual team members are Emily Green, Isaac Pancake, Izzy Luker and Chase Denton. The members had to answer questions about energy sources, conduction, convection and radiation. Left: Mrs. Russell's class had some math fun with cotton balls. The students had 10 cotton balls each and had a math snowball fight. Sharing what we will look like and what we will be doing when we are 100 years old! Tyler Mason, from Ms. Sutton's third grade class, is working on Sum- dog. Cooper Hartke, from Ms. Sut- ton's third grade class, is underlin- ing subjects and predicates. Winslow Elementary MENU Thursday, February 15: Country fried steak, mashed potatoes and gray, steamed broccoli, strawberries and a roll. Friday, February 16: Chicken sandwich, lettuce, tomato, gold fish crack- ers, baby carrots and diced pears. Monday, February 19: Two cheesy breadsticks, marinara sauce, steamed carrots, tropical fruit and President cookies. Tuesday, February 20 : Spaghetti with meat sauce, garden salad, breadstick and grapes. Wednesday, February 21: Hot dog on bun, pota- to wedges, broccoli with cheese sauce, an apple and jello.
