Does central Pennsylvania seem a little brighter, a
little cleaner, a little happier? If so, you can thank
the hundreds of volunteers who fanned out last
month throughout the area during the annual
MLK Day of Service. Locally, folks gathered at
such places as the Brethren Housing Association,
the Boys and Girls Club of Harrisburg, Beth
El Temple and the United Methodist Home,
among many others. It's a day of giving back to
the community, and everyone who participated
deserves our greatest appreciation.
