Marc Lebanoff and Chris Richardson of the Equity Group have earned Certified Commercial Investment Member designations. BECK DUFFY Carolynn Berardi Towbin, president and CEO of Towbin Automotive in Henderson, has been nominated for the 2013 Time Dealer of the Year award. Towbin will be honored Feb. 9 at the 96th annual National Automobile Dealers Association Convention and Exposition in Orlando, Fla. The Time Dealer of the Year award is one of the industry's most prestigious honors. Anne Calarco is president and managing partner of Las Vegas' Level Property Management, which offers full-service management solutions for homeowners associations. She has more than 14 years of experience managing community associations in Nevada. Associa Nevada South Community Manager Pam Tigert has been elected to the Nevada Community Associations Institute chapter's board of directors for a three-year term. Tigert's duties include attending local CAI events and meetings and promoting CAI to the real estate industry. CALARCO Dan Williams has been named chief operating officer of Three Square Food Bank. He brings 33 years of experience to the nonprofit group. He started his career as produce manager for Alpha Beta and Skaggs grocery stores and became center store manager for Lucky's supermarkets 11 years later. In 1994, he became assistant store director for Three Square's largest food donor, Albertsons, then was promoted to store director and group store director, where he led 250 people and oversaw $50 million a year in revenue. WILLIAMS Lana Gruell and Marcia K. Hopper have been hired as sales executives at KTUD-TV of Las Vegas. Gruell spent 15 years in the mortgage industry before joining the station. Hopper spent eight years at ClubSport of Green Valley, where she worked in membership sales. GRUELL HOPPER Rick Bunch has been named general superintendent at Forte Specialty Contractors. Bunch has more than 25 years experience managing large- scale construction projects. He will be responsible for cost management, planning and directing for field activities and contracts. Jennifer Turner has been named CEO of the Grand Canyon Resort Corp. Often referred to as Hualapai Tourism, the company is fully owned by the Hualapai Tribe, which manages Grand Canyon West, Hualapai River Runners and the Hualapai Lodge on Historic Route 66. Turner has a degree from Saginaw Valley State University and management experience with tribal-owned lodging, retail and tourism businesses. BUNCH 4 Quality Care IPA, a local independent physicians association, has added four local doctors to its provider network. They are: Dr. Bikas Sharma, Dr. Williams Jacks, Dr. Dana Forte and Dr. Harry Pepe. Sharma is an internal medicine physician at Trails Family Medical, 6787 W. Tropicana Ave.; Jacks is an internal medicine physician at Premium Family Care, 2031 McDaniel St., North Las Vegas; Forte is an internal medicine physician at Forte Family Practice, 9010 W. Cheyenne Ave.; and Pepe is a family practice physician at 550 California Ave. in Boulder City. Quality Care IPA's network now includes about 135 primary care and 350 specialist physicians in Southern Nevada. LEBANOFF RICHARDSON Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada named Robin Kelley and Kelly Webb development coordinators. Kelley previously worked as a volunteer center director at United Way of Southern Nevada, while Webb was development coordinator at Nevada Health Centers. KELLEY WEBB Christopher K. Lezak has been hired as an attorney at Aldrich Law Firm. Lezak, who has practiced law for more than 10 years, has experience in bankruptcy and litigation work and is licensed in Nevada and California. Las Vegas-based Meadows Bank announced it will open its first branch in Reno. Howard Bennett Jr. will manage it, and six full-time employees will staff it. Meadows Regional President Dennis "Denny" Williams will oversee banking operations in Northern Nevada. Shawmut Design and Construction has promoted Eric Geisler to senior project manager and hired Catherine Black as director of business development. Geisler joined Shawmut in 2005 and has worked in Las Vegas since 2008. He oversees Las Vegas operations and manages pre-construction and construction for restaurant, retail and gaming projects. Black joined Shawmut this year after owning her own business development consultancy for 14 years. She has more than 20 years of hospitality experience. Rose Davis, supplier diversity program manager for NV Energy, received the Corporate Advocate of the Year award from the Women Business Enterprise Council-West. The award is given to a person dedicated to promoting women- owned businesses. Davis started at NV Energy more than 16 years ago and is responsible for implementing initiatives that promote opportunities for minority-, women- and disabled veteran-owned businesses. Voit Real Estate Services recently marked its 10th year in Las Vegas. Over the past decade, the commercial real estate firm's local office has completed more than 900 transactions involving almost 19 million square feet worth $1.8 billion, according to CEO and founder Robert D. Voit. Sarah Sheehan opened a Las Vegas office of Go West Creative Group. The agency is headquartered in Los Angeles and has VOIT offices in New York City. MGM Resorts International for the third consecutive year has been listed among Newsweek Magazine's 500 most environmentally responsible companies. It moved up 35 places to No. 122. MGM Resorts also was the highest-ranking company in the casino-resort industry. It also was ranked as the third most highly rated U.S. hotel and restaurant company. Caesars Entertainment's Las Vegas-based social media team recently won several awards for the relaunch of the company's Total Rewards loyalty program. Social Sherpa and Global Gaming Business magazine presented Caesars a Sherpie award for "Best in Show" at the recent Global Gaming Expo and a second award a day later during a luncheon hosted by the American Gaming Association. The team also received an AGA Communications Gaming Voice award for "Best Social Media Program" for the same promotion. Legacy, Health and Wellness, a behavioral and mental health agency, recently opened in Las Vegas. Legacy offers individual, family and group therapy; alternative teen groups; parenting and co-parenting groups; psychosocial rehabilitative services; basic skills training; substance abuse counseling; family reunification support services; family preservation; crisis intervention services; and referral and resource services. The Penta Building Group has been selected by the University of California, Los Angeles as general contractor for the UCLA Semel IPCN Renovation Project involving a six-story medical tower on the UCLA campus. The project includes renovating vacant space in the existing tower to accommodate new clinical research infrastructure, investigator offices and an image processing suite. Three companies have moved to new offices in Sandhill Executive Suites at 6166 Sandhill Road in Las Vegas: Ink Refuge, a web design company from Orange County, Calif.; American Detective, which provides security services to homeowners associations, construction sites and hotels; and Corporate Capital Connection, which provides funding and acquisition services to transportation businesses. Switch, a data storage company, announced record sales for September. Sales included about 40 new clients and will bring Switch's SuperNAP facility to 84 percent occupancy. Commercial Alliance Las Vegas has partnered with Xceligent Inc. to launch a commercial real estate information service Jan. 1 in Southern Nevada. Wells Fargo approved a record $1.24 billion in Small Business Administration loans during the past federal fiscal year, which ended Sept. 30. The company also has been the country's leading SBA 7(a) lender in dollar volume for the past four years. The past year also was the second consecutive year that Wells Fargo approved more than $1 billion in SBA 7(a) loans to small business owners. Harsch Investment Properties awarded its Paradise Airport Center listing to the David Scherer Group at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. The property, near McCarran International Airport and the Strip, includes available units from 6,000 square feet to 50,000 square feet. MountainView Hospital has announced a $9.5 million expansion to its new patient tower. A 32-bed medical and surgical unit will be built on the third floor. It is slated to open in 2013. The project comes in addition to the hospital's $68 million ongoing expansion. Caesars Entertainment's beverage ordering system, the Beverage iApp/Team Service, has been awarded an InformationWeek 500 Award for Innovation.
