As a junior, stogsdill caught 17 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns. Junior la'dre Aguilar should bring some explosive- ness to the receiving corps. the Rangers will employ a running back by committee between three seniors in Michael Harris iii, logan shafer and Jose briseno. but most of the carries will go to Harris who ran for 191 yards and 4 touchdowns last season. oFFenSive line Redwood's offense outscored opponents 266-170 despite a weak offen- sive line. And while the rest of the offense has improved, the offensive line remains questionable. only diego sanchez and Amador bautista return from last year's line and there were no clear starters as of press time. "this group has a lot of work to do," says coach shaun ball. linebaCker three of four starters return to this unit in damian lujan, Jayden sul- livan and Jose briseno. lujan led the team with 74 tackles as a junior. sullivan was one tackle short of tying for second place on the team in tackles, and briseno added 29 tackles. the linebacking corps leads an experienced defense that returns more than half of its starters. CornerbaCk anD SaFeTy Michael Harris iii enters his third season as a starting cornerback. Harris led the team with two interceptions, one for a touchdown, forcing two fumbles, and returning two kickoffs for touchdowns. He was also second on the team with 3.5 sacks and made 38 tackles. this will be his first year as the feature back on offense, but he said that he is ready for the double physical and mental demands of key positions on both sides of the ball. Junior gabe vasquez will patrol the middle of the defensive backfield. He had 27 tackles, a half sack and two intercep- tions from the safety position. DeFenSive line the Rangers return a lot of experience on the defensive line as well. nose guard Alonzo ozuna is entering his third year as a starter on the line, while end diego sanchez is entering his second year as a starter. ozuna is the linchpin of the Rangers' 3-4 defense and led the team with 4 sacks and racked up 38 tackles. sanchez had 24 tackles.
