"Her confidence right now is at an all-time high," Lady Char- gers head coach Kyle McCutchan said. "She's been pretty much dominant the last few games ... and she was rebounding every- thing." "They let them play, and she just went and snatched it," Mc- Cutchan added. "We preach, you block out, but then you go get the ball, and she was going to get the ball." The win was the Lady Char- gers' first against Jasper since Jan. 10, 2008, and ended a losing streak of 10 consecutive games to the Lady Wildcats. Pike Central, which entered the game having dropped back- to-back games to Gibson South- ern and North Knox, improved to 8 -5. Jasper, meanwhile, slipped to 3-9. "Saturday, we played a very good second half – we gave our- selves a chance to beat a very good North Knox team – and I wanted to build on that," Mc- Cutchan said. "I told them there's nothing to be scared of, you're just playing kids your age, we're better than them, in my opinion, and we're going to be the best team on the floor every day." "Whether it's true or not, you've just got to believe that, and today, I was impressed," McCutchan added. "We came out from the beginning and just, you know, played a phenomenal game."
