Then other times they are per- formed but do not get relief or after a few years the same problem comes back. We have created a unique approach at our chiropractic practice that has helped people avoid surgery and helped many who had surgery but did not get relief. I know you have already tried chiropractic and it did not work but this is different. When I started my practice in 2010 I used the standard chiropractic techniques. I did diversified to twist and crack the neck and back. I did help a lot of people with simple problems but I could not touch people with neck or back surgeries. If they had rods and bolts in their neck and back, there was nothing I could do. This frustrated me. For those of you that don't know my story, I became a chiropractor because of a back injury playing tennis in college and about a year after I opened my practice my back pain started coming back. I was getting standard adjust- ments 3 times a week but it quit working. My own pain coming back and the frustration I felt with my inability to help people with neck or back surgeries and other issues like disc bulges and herniations as I have written about in the past drove me to find a more advanced approach. And I Did!!!! I found upper cer- vical chiropractic. After many different technique seminars and a lot of frustration, I found a technique that was so precise and so gentle you could use it to help people after neck and back surgery. I first studied Orthospinology and then studied NUCCA with Dr Matthew Mcnally. The NUCCA technique allows you to get your head on straight removing pres- sure through out the entire spine. In studies this technique has been shown to help with herniated discs which is the rea- son so many neck and back sur- geries are performed. Then we implemented a form of chiropractic decompression using the Cox table. This table takes about 3-5minutes to help decompress the neck and back allowing many chronic issues to get relief. She had had multiple surgeries and fusions but still had severe pain and was left with the diagnosis of fibromyalgia and a whole bunch of medications.
