Zielinski, whose aldermanic district largely encompasses the city's Bay View neighborhood, officially announced his candida- cy Wednesday afternoon at the Milwaukee Police Association's headquarters. The venue of the press confer- ence was fitting. The MPA is the first organization to endorse Zielinski as a mayoral candidate.
