SAUKVILLE — On Friday, Dec. 8, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., employees from Kohler Credit Union will be ringing the bell for the Salvation Army's Ozaukee Unit and handing out candy canes outside the Saukville Walmart, 825 E. Green Bay Ave. Additionally, Tinker, the miniature horse, and Ta- Lu-La the Papillion, will be ringing the bell from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tinker, who is owned by Joe and Carol Takacs, has been ringing the Salvation Army bell for eight holiday seasons "Kohler Credit Union believes in being an active community partner. The spirit of reaching out to others is embodied in the values of our organization and our employees. Supporting organizations like the Salvation Army, allows us to give back to the communities we serve and make a positive impact in our neighborhoods. We look forward to having Tinker along for the ride!" according to Laura Gabrielse, vice president of communications at Kohler Credit Union. The Salvation Army is a worldwide organization that provides assistance to people who find themselves in emergency situations. They not only help following major catastrophes, but also assist in times of personal, local need. The Ozaukee Unit of Salvation Army provides help to Ozaukee County residents with rent, utilities and medical emergencies throughout the year. They also make visits to Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg provide gifts to the children of inmates at the county jail and donate school supplies to children in need. Remember, 100 percent of Red Kettle donations assist locally. Salvation Army's Ozaukee Unit
