10 LIVE IT UP! FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2017 SANTA CRUZ SENTINEL I have participated in this event for years," says Melinda White, DO, Primary Care with Dignity Health Medical Foundation. "It gives me a chance to connect with my patients outside of the office and enjoy a relaxed, fun environment with them." e 9th Annual Aging Young Health and Wellness Event—hosted by Dignity Health Dominican Hos- pital, Dignity Health Medical Group – Dominican, and Dignity Health Medical Network – Santa Cruz (formerly Physicians Medical Group of Santa Cruz)—will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m.–noon at its new location of two years, the Seascape Golf Club in Aptos. We will be packing the venue with free health screenings, exciting local wellness vendors, delicious breakfast food and drink, and presentations on every- thing from maintaining athleticism to achieving optimal foot health. e Aging Young fair draws a loyal crowd of attendees, who have raved that it is a "wonderful event," and that "everyone is very help- ful and knowledgeable." We are so proud to bring this opportunity to the community, and we work hard to maintain the high level of expert medical information and diversity of specialty care every single year. We believe that everyone's health is important, and that quality care lies in the crossroads between patient education and connecting patients with the wealth of local health and wellness resources available to them. Due to an increase in attendance and request for more exhibit space, last year the Aging Young event moved to the beautiful Seascape Golf Club in Aptos. More than forty vendors from local health care and wellness organizations will pro- vide helpful information and fun giveaways. As always, free health screenings will be provided, includ- ing glucose, cholesterol checks, blood pressure, balance assessment, and more. e event also will feature presentations from Dignity Health Medical Network and Dignity Health Medical Foundation physi- cians about staying active through- out your life, maintaining bone health, taking proper care of your feet, and more.
