Interfaith Memorial Service Our Interfaith Memorial Service is an invita- tion to pause during the busy holiday season and tune into what counts: remembering a beloved family member, or dear friend, who has died. Whether your loved one recently passed, or is someone who you have carried in your heart for many years, this memorial service nourishes ten- der hearts by honoring both the sadness and joy that comes with remembrance. Our community gathers for words of support, candle lighting, and a remembrance table, for which you are welcome to bring a photograph or object of your loved one. Here are some things that may provide some comfort: • Accept that you have limitations this year. is is not wrong. It just is. • Look carefully at your priorities and deter- mine what is truly meaningful for you. • Get Outside: Go for a walk in nature to reflect on your loved one. • Let others support you through the holi- days. Consider having a trusted friend or family member bring you to holiday gather- ings and help you to leave early if you need to. • Give yourself permission to let go of the "shoulds" and "have tos." If you are having a holiday dinner – set a place for your loved one and encourage others to share memories or give yourself permission to "skip the holi- days" this year.
