Much like the natural disaster that ripped Cloud 9 apart, season 2 was a whirlwind of misunder- standings and stolen moments. Season 3 finds Cloud 9 reopen- ing Store 1217 two months after the tornado. The store is newly re- vamped and everything — save a few employees — has found its proper place. While things seem back to normal in the aisles, Jo- nah and Amy — as well as Gar- rett and Dina — must address their actions and make some big decisions. The cast has done its best to keep things under wraps, but in a press release video from NBC, Dunn revealed that things between his character and Dina were still being "explored." Likewise, Ferrera believes that this season could answer some questions, while inspiring others. As the actress stated in promo- tional footage: "The kiss ... hap- pened in the heat of the mo- ment." It's difficult to know how Amy will take the act, as she tries to decide: Was "it embarrassing? Is it what she meant to do?" The anticipation for the kiss moment had built up over two seasons, largely thanks to Ferrera and Feldman's phenomenal on-screen chemistry, and definitely did not disappoint. While the cast is formidable as a whole, the acting talents of Fer- rera give "Superstore" its heart. Her dedication to the role was handsomely rewarded with a 2017 Gracie Award for Best Ac- tress in a Leading Role — Come- dy or Musical. A large part of Fer- rera's charm is expressed through taking what could have been a stereotypical character and en- riching it. Amy is multifaceted and often plays against type. She is a strong, confident woman con- stantly re-evaluating the deci- sions she's made in her life — ev- erything that has brought her to this point and time. With more than 10 years at Cloud 9, Amy had grown accustomed to order and monotony, but when Jonah found his way onto the sales floor, she began to realize that life still had more in store for her. By season 2's finale, there's "a lot going on [for Amy] in this life-or-death situ- ation." That passionate moment left many unanswered questions, and it will be fascinating to watch as Amy uncovers who she truly is and what she wants over the course of season 3.
