On your mark, get set, GO! The Race for
the Gold is on. Who will take home the
trophy this year? Will it be the Pink
Lady that swept the competition in 2016
or will the Public Works Crew give her
a run for her money? Don't count out
KidSenses Children's Museum, those
guys know a lot about science and may
have a trick or two up their sleeve.
Regardless of who wins, this is always
a thrilling and fun event to watch as
they race custom designed cars
down Main Street with the
hopes of taking home gold!

TOUR DE PUMPKIN BIKE RIDE
Commemorating the Overmountain
Men's historic march to defeat the
British at the Battle of King's Mountain,
the annual Overmountain 5K lets
runners follow in Revolutionary soldiers'
footsteps through scenic downtown
Rutherfordton.
Up next is the Tour de Pumpkin Up next is the Tour de Pumpkin
Bike Ride in its 11th year,
featuring 50K and 100K rides.
Riders from all over line up to
participate in one of the most
scenic rides in NC.

every year, the Hilltop Fall Festival is
our favorite way to usher in the cooler

festivals, this family-favorite event
