Advantage News Fall 2017 Solutions for Advertising Revenue from Advantage Newspaper Consultants When Advantage Newspaper Consultants last sold the TV Magazine program at the Peoria Journal Star in 2013, the ad sales goal of $225,000 was exceeded and everyone couldn't be more pleased with their 20-page magazine packed with ads. This July, Advantage Newspaper Consultants returned to the market excited to work again with the great team in Peoria, IL but never expecting to end the campaign securing nearly half a million dollars in ad revenue (more than twice the sales goal). The Peoria TV Magazine, TV Week, grew from 20 pages to 32 pages. "When I visited for the manager's meeting and kickoff everyone from management and sales was ready to go! The sales team was prepared with prospect lists and contacts for the telethon. During their two-hour appointment setting session the team set 57 appointments!" says Dee Evans, Division Sales Manager at Advantage Newspaper Consultants. "When Mitchell Lynch walked in the door, they hit the ground running and never stopped! This group was motivated and focused and made this project fun! They challenged one another and were always coming up with different ideas and customers to go see." Advantage Newspaper Consultants' Media Analyst, Mitchell Lynch, conducted joint sales calls with Journal Star reps. Advantage Newspaper Consultants paid the Journal Star's sales team more than $7,400 in cash bonuses for their part in securing appointments and contracts for ad revenue. Advertisers include medical and dental practices, law firms, retail shops and automotive dealers. "We are very excited and pleased with our results from the TV Magazine program with Advantage Newspaper Consultants this year! When Dee Evans came in for the kickoff and telethon, our team was excited and ready to go! We set a tremendous amount of good, quality appointments before the sales campaign started, which really set us up for success" says Ken Mauser, Publisher of the Peoria Journal Star. "By the end of our sales campaign, our team, with the help of Advantage Newspaper Consultants, was at 280% to target goal! The partnership of the Peoria Journal Star and Advantage Newspaper Consultants is a total win-win for us! I would highly recommend Advantage Newspaper Consultants! We had a great time during the campaign and can't wait to do it again next year!" The Peoria Journal Star's advertising offer included full-color advertising in the printed TV Magazine and a ROP pick up ad in a designated daily edition.
