The Daily Star, Oneonta, N.Y., Friday, September 1, 2017 20 By Lindsay Scharf TV Media One happy family: This heartwarming television show is perfect for viewers who like the idea of reality TV, but dislike drama. Why? Be- cause "Eric & Jessie: Game On, " which follows married couple Eric Decker and Jessie James Decker as they try to balance their careers, Jessie's business and their growing family, relies not on shock value or scandal, but on heartwarming moments and perseverance. Season 3 of the series premieres Wednesday, Sept. 6, on E! Jessie is a moderately suc- cessful country/pop singer, and Eric is a professional football player, and their lives have changed a lot since we last saw them. As season 2 ended, Jessie had just given birth to their first child, Vivi- anne Rose. After their daugh- ter was born in 2014, the couple decided to take a break from the cameras in or- der to focus on their family and enjoy their privacy. In fact, Jessie had her doubts about whether they'd film another season at all — she was uncomfortable with hav- ing the cameras around her children, and was worried that it would affect them negatively. Luckily for her fans, she's changed her mind since then. In 2015, their son Eric Thomas II was born, so now the young couple has two children under the age of 4, plus they both have suc- cessful careers. On top of it all, Jessie is working hard at getting her new business off the ground — that's a lot to juggle! This season, Eric suddenly changes teams when he's signed by the Tennessee Ti- tans. Until this year, Eric played for the New York Jets, but, in 2016, he was sidelined due to an injury. So, when the Tennessee Titans asked him to play, the couple decided to move their young family to Nashville. The couple represents a re- turn to good old-fashioned family values in a medium where values are severely lacking. They are always po- lite to each other, and they share their love and respect with one another and their children. "Eric & Jessie: Game On" is the opposite of shows like "The Real Housewives" — there are no screaming matches, no big fights, no backstabbing. It's just calm- ing and relaxing, and it's in- teresting to see how this lovely couple lives their lives.
