Food trucks lined Front Street and large crowds followed
them during last month's Taste of Independence,
Harrisburg's Independence Day celebration in
Riverfront Park. After snagging a sandwich, burrito or
turkey leg, people gathered around to listen to music, eat
some fudge or slurp down a Farm Show milkshake. At
dusk, the sky turned an amazing array of colors during
the half-hour fireworks show. Some folks avoided the
long food truck lines, choosing to set up lawn chairs
and blankets at Reservoir Park, where the Harrisburg
Symphony Orchestra set the mood with a playlist of
patriotic tunes.
