bianco is thrilled she was
chosen as the 2017 poster
artist. "Collaborations are
really inspiring, and Robin was
fun and easy to work with,"
she says. Although she's
never run in Wharf to Wharf,
she has always loved seeing
the community come together
annually on race day. "I was
excited to have the opportunity
to contribute, and have my art
represent such a great local
event," says bianco.
Lerios agrees with bianco's
sentiments about the
community. "I am a third-
generation santa Cruzan
and I believe this race truly
represents the fun that is this
city," says Lerios. "I am proud
to be a part of something that
touches so many within our
community and beyond in such
a joyous way," she adds. "The
scholarships given to the local
youth are a bonus to what this
race does for our community."
On Race day—sunday July
23—framed pieces including
limited editions, plus posters
and even mugs will be
available for purchase at
york Framing Gallery's booth
at Wharf to Wharf. "This
will be located at the end of
the beach on the island in
the street, and sarah will be
present to sign posters and
meet people," says Lerios.
Also, people can buy pieces
online via the gallery.
