6B PIKE PUBLISHING BACKYARD ADVENTURES 2017 In the dog days of summer, there are few things more refreshing than taking a dip in the pool. The Princeton Aquatic Center has every- thing you need to beat the summer heat. Admission is $4 and free for those four years and under. A single season pass is available for $55. Family season passes are $220 for families up to five people. The center offers public swimming les- sons in the olympic-size pool, water slides and diving boards, a free splash park, locker rentals, picnic areas and a concession stand. Pool hours are Monday, Wednesday, Fri- day and Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. Private party rentals are available on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights only, from 6 -8 p.m. for $200. Picnic party rentals are $150. This includes entrance to the pool for party and picnic area. The pool will remain open to the public. Picnic parties are available Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights only from 5 -7 p.m. Individuals interested in group swim les- sons should call the Princeton Department of Parks and Recreation to reserve a spot. Lessons are $50 for a two-week class. Classes meet four days a week. Individual lessons can be scheduled with certified life guards and swim instructors through the Princeton Aquatic Center at a rate of $10 for a half hour lesson. The pool also offers Aqua Zumba classes at various times. Persons interested in reserving the pool for parties or shelter houses should call the mayor's office for prices and reservations.
