It was created amid the backdrop of a widespread discus- sion of the ill effects of lead in water. The report was the outgrowth of a nine-month information- gathering exercise initiated by an eight-person panel known as the Water Quality Task Force. The 27-page document outlines some steps that have already been taken to address the presence of lead in the water supply.
