Page 22 Welcome to the May issue of Di- versity Rules Magazine. e year is quickly passing, as they usually do. Warm weather is here, so en- joy it while we have it! Spring has arrived in New York. is month's feature is a great one. anks to the folks at Project Pub- licity, based in New York City, we are honored to feature Davis Mal- lory. Many of you probably know Davis from his reality TV days on MTV's Real World Denver. How- ever, Davis is much more than just a reality TV star. He is an accom- plished singer/songwriter, who is making strides in advancing his music career. I hope you enjoy Davis' interview and let him know you saw him in Diversity Rules Magazine, by emailing him! In addition to Davis' interview, this issue is once again full of great information and features. Our regular writers have returned in- cluding David-Elijah Nahmod, Lee Lynch, Tony Guadagnino, and our periodic book reviewer, Velvet Lounger. ere are also some other human interest stories that should make for good reading. I also want to enthusiastically an- nounce that the City of Oneonta, NY, my hometown, is having its first ever Pridefest. I am really ex- cited to see this happening, since the political environment for LG- BTQ folks is downright toxic now. I am proud to know my hometown will join the ranks of the many communities across the country and world celebrating pride and the diversity that comprises our nation. Last, if you have not done so please consider completing the CMI Sur- vey highlighted on page 20. Di- versity Rules Magazine has a goal to refer at least 200 folks to the survey. See you in June, Pride month! Diversity Rules Magazine PO Box 72 Oneonta, NY 13820 James R.
