70 | theburg | 05.17 70 | the burg | 09.15 hArrISBurg SEnAtorS e Harrisburg Senators opened the 2017 baseball season last month in promising fashion, with a seven-game home stand on City Island. e team emerged with a winning record before setting off for a few road games. e game, though, is always only part of the fun at FNB Field, as fans often attend as much for the food, entertainment and beautiful setting. e coming season features promotions and special events almost every game, including such perennial favorites as post- game fireworks, merchandise giveaways, discounts, celebrity appearances and the always-popular Cowboy Monkey Rodeo. PEnnSYlvAnIA goldEn glovES e PA Golden Gloves Championship punched into Harrisburg last month, landing squarely in the Capitol Room at Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center. e large venue was crowded with boxing fans, friends and family, as they rooted, screamed and cheered on the amateur competitors.
