"I know that we've had many offers for help," said Michelle Johnson, director of UWM media services. "Some were from other theaters and arts companies offer- ing space for performances. Other people are asking if we need help with cleanup. People have been incredibly kind and gracious." The fire, seen just after 10 p.m. Saturday on the first story of the theater building of the Peck School of the Arts, also resulted in smoke and water damage in the separate arts and music build- ings. In the theater building, the set and scenery shop as well as the theater were completely destroyed.
