Metropolitan Milwaukee Military Historians host "D" Milbach The next meeting of Metropolitan Milwaukee Military Historians, Monday, April 17, will feature retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant DeMaine Milbach, an Iraq/Afghanistan war service veteran. Having served 29 years Milbach will share his many deployments in the U.S., Middle East, Australia and Europe. He was selected to serve directly on the personal security details of Gen. Tommy Franks and Gen. John Abizaid during frontline duty. Of 181 days on the ground, his unit received indirect fire on 75 of those harrowing days. He was also part of the first mission to take the top 10 al-Qaida leaders to prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. "D" Milbach is currently serving our local community as detective with the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department. Admission price of $20 includes the buffet dinner from Ferrante's and the speaker's presentation. A limited number of seats are available for the speaker's program only for $8 each beginning around 7 p.m.).
