Co-Founder & Vice-president,
El Chicano Corn Husk,
Inc. & Pachamama Imports, Inc.
Mariela Camacho-Kimble is a
Latina leader who has worked in
the importation of products from
Mexico for more than 6 years.
She is one of the founders of
El Chicano Corn Husks, which
provides top-quality cornhusks
for many companies in the U.S.
Camacho-Kimble's father has
owned a cornhusk company in
Mexico for more than 30 years.
His company employs more
than 50 single mothers in his
community. Since Camacho-
Kimble and her brother star-
ted importing cornhusks in
their own business, they have
been able to help these single
mothers even more than befo-
re. At the same time, Camacho-
Kimble makes sure the Latino
community in the United States
receives the best quality corn-
husks possible.
Camacho-Kimble, inspired by
volunteer work in Hispanic com-
munities, pursued a bachelor's
degree in Health Service Mana-
gement from DeVry University,
graduating in June 2016. She now
hopes to use her new expertise to
better serve the Latino commu-
nity on matters of health.
She is also in the process of
launching a new importation bu-
siness. Pachamama Imports, Inc.
will allow them to share the beau-
tiful art of Mexico in the United
States. Camacho-Kimble plans to
buy art from low-income families
in Mexico and sell it here. She be-
lieves that it is very important to
help our communities as much
as possible not only in the United
States but also in Mexico. She is
a co-authored the book Today's
Inspired Latina Volume III laun-
ching May of 2017.
