Eladio Montoya is an im-
migrant entrepreneur who has
triumphed in the culinary field
serving the Latino community.
In 2013, he founded "Los Man-
gos Neveria y Fruteria," and
today he counts eight establis-
hments in Chicago and the su-
rrounding suburbs as part of his
empire.
Montoya has also demons-
trated his entrepreneurial spi-
rit in the restaurant world. He
launched a new restaurant
concept in 2016 called Gordi-
llas. The restaurant offers a wide
variety of gorditas, burritos and
quesadillas with a style that is
unique in the City of Chicago.
Originally from Durango,
Mexico, Montoya arrived in the
United States when he was 6
years old. While he did not con-
tinue his studies beyond high
school, that has not stopped
him from achieving his goal of
leaving a mark on the renowned
26th Street in Little Village.
Montoya has plans to conti-
nue growing his business with
the support of the Latino com-
munity, never forgetting his
roots. He is committed to retur-
ning some of his success to the
community in an effort to help
it, too, triumph.
