By BRIAN HUBER Conley News Service WAUKESHA — A Milwaukee man who has been officiating soccer matches in the area and was charged Tuesday with having indecent contact with a 15year-old girl had previously been deported to Mexico twice, according to a criminal complaint in the case. Cristian Sanchez, 26, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court with one count each of sexually assaulting a child, child enticement and refusing to aid an offi- cer. He faces more than 65 years in prison if convicted of all charges. Following an ini- tial court appearance, he was ordered held on a $10,000 cash bond and ordered to stay away from sports leagues and the alleged victim and her family, and to have no unsu- pervised contact with any minor females. A spokeswoman for the Waukesha Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry had no com- ment when contacted by Conley News Service on Tuesday afternoon. Similarly, a police offi- cial said there was no further information available late Tuesday. A criminal complaint said two girls, 17 and 15, reported to police that they were at the Schuetze Building on Baxter Street for a soccer game Jan. 29 when the younger girl went to her family's car for a bag of chips. After she took a while to return, her sister and parents went looking for her. The older girl said she saw her sister with an unknown Hispanic man who quick- ly walked to his car and drove away. According to the complaint, the younger girl told police that she knew Sanchez by the name of Miguel Garcia, and he was a refer- ee for soccer games at the Schuetze Building. She said he'd repeatedly asked for her phone number, which she gave him. They exchanged text messages, including one where he said he loved her, the com- plaint said. Sanchez even went to the girl's school on Jan. 25 with flowers sprayed with men's cologne for her so she would "remem- ber him," the complaint said. On Jan. 29, as the girl went to her fami- ly's car, Sanchez called to her from the park- ing lot and asked her to walk with him to his car, the girl told police. Sanchez opened his coat and suggested she should get closer to him for warmth, the complaint said. The girl reported Sanchez tried to pull her toward him, wrapped his arms around her waist and touched her backside, and also rubbed his body against hers indecently, the complaint said. Waukesha police talked to the owner of the soccer league, who said he only knows Sanchez as Cristian, and he hired him about two years ago to referee soccer matches. On Sunday, Waukesha police and Milwaukee County sheriff's deputies went to a Franklin sports complex where they believed Sanchez was refereeing a game. Sanchez identified himself with a Mexican consular ID as Gustavo Sanchez with a false birth date, the complaint said. Officers determined Sanchez's true identity, and learned he not only had a 2014 arrest war- rant from Milwaukee County but also had previously been deported twice to Mexico, the complaint said. On Monday, Sanchez admitted he gave a false name to police and that he'd been deported twice before, the complaint said. He admitted to maintaining a "loose" rela- tionship with the teen, texting her and attempting to kiss her but denied touching her inappropriately, the complaint said.
