At the Boston Design Center in June, our Editor-in-Chief Janice O'Leary talked with British designer India Hicks in front of a live audience about her style inspirations. We toasted to the 4 of July with a party on Nantucket with Stella Artois, BMW, Mohegan Sun, and Privateer rum. Thanks to the deBenedictis-Karlson family for hosting us at The Summer House. It was a pleasure to be part of the Best Buddies Challenge: Hyannis Port from Boston to Hyannis, during which New England Patriot and Best Buddies global ambassador Tom Brady joined the Shriver family to support this cause. We also fêted the launch of the new Emerald Lounge at the Revere hotel and the reopening of the original Olives in Charlestown, with a beautiful crowd, delicious food, and plentiful drinks. The team responsible for Red Lantern and Gem also opened Empire Asian Restaurant & Lounge on Fan Pier in prime real estate in the Seaport District with a packed VIP party. The season wouldn't be complete without golf tournaments stirring friendly competition to benefit important causes. Club in Dartmouth. Newport International Polo Series also saw fierce competition between teams from Newport, Boston, and Palm Beach, as well as Ireland and Argentina. Also in August, we returned to Nantucket for the annual Berkshire Hills Music Academy gala at Kay and Peter Bernon's home in Cliffside with Hermès as the main sponsor.
