The Isothermal Community College Debate Team recently performed a skit, based on the popular television game show Family Feud, for a crowd of Rutherford County seventh grad- ers. Through the skit, team members demonstrated some of the argument skills and tech- niques used in formal debates and competitions. The event was part of the College Knowledge Fair at Isothermal, which is sponsored by the Robert and Janice McNair Educational Foundation and is designed to familiarize middle school students with various college options at an early age. Dr. Keith Poole, an English instructor at Isothermal, is the advisor of the ICC Debate Team.
