Especially those days when I have to crank up my air con- ditioner just make it through another four-hour broadcast of the Summer Olympics without breaking a sweat. It's hard work sitting on my butt watching television in this hot and humid weather. But I'm dedicated to cheering on our Olympians while wishing I was with them across the pond in London. I have a soft spot for all things British and Olympic, so I'm really excited about the games this summer. Go U.S.A.! gobbled up chicken from Brooks with that odd tomato slice added on top for the first time. Or savored homemade corn bread and pulled pork from Andre's Blue Ribbon BBQ. And used napkins. Lots and lots of napkins. In addition to delightful barbecued meats and all the fixins, whet your appetite with our bounty of entertainment options. We review one of the summer's biggest shows, Wilco, which packed the hills of Brewery Ommegang, on Page 16. help you chart your summer- time merriment. With the chills of fall not far away, it's time to dig into the food and fun of the season.
