The northwest portion of downtown Milwaukee is awash in construction equipment and bar- ricades alerting motorists several roadways are closed. Completed construction of the arena itself is anticipated at the start of the NBA team's 2018-19 season. The new arena has been chris- tened the Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center. It is replacing the 28-year-old Bradley Center and is one part of a larger portrait that many local and regional officials have touted as transforming Milwaukee's already development-heavy down- town.
