Santa Claus got an earful from local kids as he visited
the PA National Fire Museum during the annual Santa
in Midtown event, sponsored by Friends of Midtown.
In addition to telling Santa what they wanted for
Christmas, the children (and their parents) enjoyed
hot cocoa, a snack and a museum tour. e kids left
confident that Santa was up to speed on the presents
they hoped to find beneath the tree, and some even
incidentally learned a few things about firefighting.

What's inside that charming old row home in downtown
Harrisburg? Hundreds of people got the opportunity to
peek inside some of the city's grandest residences (and
a few modest ones too) during Historic Harrisburg
Association's 43rd annual Candlelight House Tour. Folks
streamed in and out of houses for hours, as the self-guided
tour took them through the Capitol district. In addition
to historic townhouses, the event included new condos at
LUX and new apartments in Strawberry Square, giving
tour-goers a sense of the future of downtown living.
