Throughout much of 2016, the Milwaukee Department of City Development has worked with several enti- ties — including the city of Greenfield and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee — in exploring new possibilities along a 4-mile stretch, between Oklahoma and College avenues. A recently released report points to inter- est in breathing new life into a high-profile area that has seen spotty new development within the past decade. The contents of the report will be shared with the Milwaukee Common Council in the new year and could be incorporated into the city's long-range strategic planning docu- ments for the decades ahead as a guide toward future recommendations.
