Page 22 Welcome to the October issue of Diversity Rules Magazine. It is hard to believe that the year is quickly coming to its conclusion! is month Diversity Rules Maga- zine welcomes the folks at Urban Animals. e primary mission of Urban Animals is to educate peo- ple about animals and to encour- age conservation, rescue, adoption, and responsible pet ownership. In addition to mingling with other animal lovers, meeting some inter- esting furred and feathered crea- tures, and enjoying music, drinks and wine, partygoers were also vid- eotaped for a television segment on the show, giving attendees and their pets a chance for national TV exposure. Urban Animals will be made avail- able to all 350 PBS affiliate mem- ber television stations across the United States this fall. If Urban Animals is not available in your area. Reach out to your local PBS station and request it. As we all are quite aware the con- clusion of this very contentious and somewhat comical Presiden- tial Election is at hand. While to many the candidates from which we have to make our selection are not who many of us would have liked to have seen run, we, alas, must choose between those given to us. Not voting is not an option folks, given the ominous possibil- ity that Donald Trump could even remotely win. He is dangerous and toxic to America, and especially to the Queer Community. Sadly there are some in our community who will vote against their own best interests and cast their vote for Trump. ose voters who are sane will assuredly vote for Hillary Clinton, however. So get to the polls on November 8th and vote BLUE all the way down ticket! See you in November! Diversity Rules Magazine PO Box 72 Oneonta, NY 13820 James R.
